We need your help! If you are looking for fun community socialization one night a month, then come and join THE PALMYRA FIREFLIES! The Fireflies are the Palmyra Fire Department auxiliary, which supports the fire department on and off fire scenes. We supply refreshments to the fire department when needed on scenes, help them at the station with various activities and assist in purchasing needed equipment for the department through our own fund raisers. We also help the community whenever we can by supplying fire victims with a recovery fire kit and hosting seasonal community activities. We, The Palmyra Fireflies, need your help in order for us to continue supporting our local heroes and the community. If this sounds like something you’d like to do please check out our page, under fire department, stop by the station between 6 A.M. – 6 P.M., come to our next meeting on October 10th at 6:30 P.M. at Palmyra Fire Station, or call 330 654-5447. |

It's 2 AM and you're awakened to the sound of someone moaning. When you get out of bed, you notice your spouse is no longer there. You enter the kitchen and find your spouse lying on the floor. You ask them "are you ok?" Their answer is “no, I think I broke my leg”. Naturally, you want to know how did they do that? Their response is “I tripped over our sleeping guard dog”. You call 911 and a squad is dispatched to your home. Everything sounds good so far, right? Here comes the problem. You have no house numbers on your home, and the ones on the mailbox are falling off. You know which house is yours, you have lived there for thirty years, but how do we? Help us find you! |
