On behalf of the Palmyra Park Association, Welcome to the Palmyra Park!!!
We would like to introduce ourselves to the community and our Township. The property was purchased by Palmyra Trustees. The public were asked to help develop it in 2007. A small group of local citizens got together and did this using no taxpayer funds to initially develop it. A special Thank You to the James Sanders’ family for using their company and personal resources to develop the park you see in these pictures. Later, the township began adding things such as a fenced in playground area for your children to play safely. Presently, we have baseball/softball fields that were used during the Park Preview in 2008 with our own Trustees throwing out the first pitch.
We currently have a lovely gazebo for the public enjoyment or for possible photo opportunities. We offer plenty of parking, lovely views, plants, and even a ritual bridge sponsored by the Girl Scouts. A memorial program has been set in place for anyone wishing to purchase a bench or tree in a loved one's memory.
And did you know that during the Palmyra Bicentennial, residents provided items to add to a time capsule that is buried within the park?
Picnic tables and the start of a walking trail have been completed for your enjoyment. We hope to add more things and to continue evolving as a Park.
